Everyone can tell that the 2022 Chevy Silverado ZR2 isn't just another half-ton pickup truck from the way it is raised up and aggressively designed.

Everyone can enjoy the journey when the blacktop ends thanks to its crew-cab only body design and its interior's digital dashboard.

The ZR2 logo, which was previously seen on smaller Chevy trucks and SUVs with an off-road focus, is being worn for the first time by a Silverado.

Price of the Chevrolet Silverado ZR2 The base price of the 2022 Silverado ZR2 is slightly under $70,000, which is approximately $10,000 more than the High Country, the most opulent non-ZR2 Silverado.

Chevy's top-of-the-line off-road pickup has a starting price that is comparable to that of the F-150 Raptor ($70,370), but it is considerably less expensive than the Ram TRX's base price of about $80,000.

Chevrolet Silverado Zr2's engine The same naturally aspirated 6.2-liter V-8 engine that's available in the standard Silverado 1500 is housed beneath the ZR2's protruding hood.

420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque are produced by the engine, which is mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission.

Every ZR2 Silverado comes equipped with a four-wheel-drive system, a two-speed transfer case, and front and rear differentials that may be electronically locked.

A special skid-plate package protects the truck's underneath, and according to Chevy, the ZR2's high-mounted steel bumper offers a 31.8-degree approach angle.

Chevrolet Silverado Zr2's towing capacity The Silverado ZR2 can tow up to 8900 pounds with a standard trailer hitch. A payload of up to 1440 pounds can also be carried by the half-ton truck.

MPG With a 420-hp V-8, the 2022 Silverdo ZR2 gets 14 mpg in the city and 17 mpg on the interstate, for a combined rating of 15 mpg.

These estimations aren't particularly outstanding even if they outperform the Ram TRX and its 12 mpg combined 702-hp supercharged V-8.

The longer standard-length bed over the shorter short bed is the better option for those who intend to haul more cargo in the Chevrolet Silverado ZR2's cargo box.
